Registration Procedures
There are no prerequisites or background necessary for the educational tour. No travel experience is required. Individuals wishing to register in this program are required to:
- Complete and sign an Confidential Registration Form (pdf)
- Submit a $650.00 CAD deposit cheque made payable to Langara College - for payment by credit card, please call the Continuing Studies Registration office at 604-323-5322
- Early registration is recommended to avoid disappointment, as space is limited.
- Once your application has been submitted your deposit will become non-refundable in the event that you decide to withdraw or cancel your intent to participate in this program for any reason.

Costs and Fee Schedule (subject to change)
- Price $2500 per person based on double room occupancy
- Prices are based on double occupancy. Single room supplement fee applies ($335)
- Deposit is $650 and is due at time of registration to secure a spot
- Registration deadline and final payment date 2 months prior to travel
Costs Include:
- Program registration
- Pre-trip orientation meeting
- Return airfare Vancouver - Whitehorse
- Airport transfers Whitehorse Airport - hotel
- Welcome coffee/ tea and orientation meeting at the hotel
- Four nights accommodation at Best Western Gold Rush Inn
- Four breakfasts, two packed lunches and two group dinners
- Four nights of Aurora viewing including transportation and snacks/ hot drinks
- Day excursion to Kluane National Park
- Day excursion to Carcross - Whitepass
- Other group excursion fees as identified in the itinerary
- Instruction by Langara College faculty

- GST $41.67
- Single room supplement (if required, upon request) of $335

- Travel and health insurances
- Photography equipment and supplies
- All personal items and services
- Optional add-on: Takhini Hotsprings and Wildlife Preserve daytrip ($115 + 5% GST per person) Subject to availability.
Important Information:
Passports are not necessary for Canadian citizens travelling to this domestic destination. However, it is advisable to carry one, as photo identification is mandatory for air travel within Canada.
Travel, Flight and Health insurances are required and are the responsibility of the participant to research and secure the appropriate coverage. Check with your health plan, family physician or local travel clinic for advice about traveling.
All participants will be required to sign a release form prior to departure which allows Langara College, Instructors, Staff, Tour Leaders and Contract Services Employees to be free of liability with respect to this Travel Program.
Program itinerary and dates are tentative. Program costs are based on a minimum number of participants and are subject to change without notice. Single supplement will apply to all single travelers. If you do not have a traveling companion we will be happy to make arrangements for you to pair up with another member of the group. Langara College reserves the right to cancel any program prior to departure without penalty or liability.
